More and more we are speaking to families that are opening their home to their extended family and need a remodel or addition to accommodate such an invitation. This is where we, NJW, your home remodeling specialist, Columbus, Ohio step in!
We have all heard of the Mother-In-Law Suite… but for this project we completed a Father-In-Law Suite! This recently completed NJW Father-In-Law Suite is a prime example of such a transformation. Our client’s daughter embraced the idea of welcoming her father into her home, what a beautiful gift! And in return, his gift to her was to have a quality crafted addition that complimented every feature of this already existing and beautiful home.
An equally important priority was to design and construct this interior suite to the unique needs of our wheelchair bound client. Since we like to put thought into all we do, and design with the client in mind, we used various techniques to accomplish our goal. Some of these include barrier free transitions between flooring, all counter top surfaces accommodate wheelchair access and custom designed, user friendly cabinetry.
As you can see from the images, we have accomplished our priorities all while not sacrificing design and style! Now he can enjoy his space and the world beyond the NJW Construction walls!
