With the weather finally turning more “spring like” it is time to start thinking about room additions, outdoor spaces, or all over home renovations! As your Columbus home remodeling company, we know that good design goes beyond the walls of your home. One of the items we find makes a large difference in your new home addition is the difference your door design can make.

Sliding: Multi-slide doors are a dramatic option for your remodel, depending on the width; the doors call for extra-wide openings and might involve some engineering to accommodate the width. Once the right support is in place, it will open your rooms to fresh air living!

Rolling: There is even a new class of multi-slide door out there. The construction of this type of door incorporates the style and performance of folding and swinging doors, plus custom-engineered rolling hardware with AAMA certified wheels, and a low-profile bottom rail. In design, the custom wheels help support heavier weights of the door panels.

Motorized:There are even motorized options for sliding glass door systems. Multiple control options can be operated with wall-mounted switches, exterior security keypads, or remote control. The motorized element’s crawl reduces the speed of the doors as it nears the closed position to prevent damage to the door and its frame. In case of a power outage, the doors can be manually operated with the same one-handed maneuverability. These glass doors are designed to accommodate a variety of engineering requirements while maintaining architectural appeal. Minimized framing helps create unobstructed sight lines.

Whatever your door style preference, we can help you select a door that fits your homes’ style, and your needs!  We work hard to ensure you love your home addition, and this will include selecting the perfect door for your space.
